I love this quote. Thank you, Barbara Herrian Brown.
Usually, when I start to write this newsletter, I reread my latest post and sometimes the one before that.
Not this time. I can’t reread Part 56 just yet. Just thinking of doing so engulfs me anew in exhaustion and, since I’m starting to come out of that state of being pinned to the sofa and wondering which method of suicide would make the least mess, I’m going to forge ahead without going down Lousy Memory Lane.
I’m just going to the reason for this post. And that is to say thank you to the following people:
Jeannette Smith, Ellen Dolce, Jennifer Goldman, Laura Lyster Mensh,
, Julie Clark, Carol Bonsper, , Laura Clark, Trisha Clark, Barbara Faresich, Michelle Hale, Barbara Herrian Brown, Paula Taylor, Melissa Nobile, Mary Zisk, Deborah Harms, Yvonne Herbst, Kerry Molina, and Jenna McCord.Thank you for your Facebook messages, links, quotes, text messages, emails, and comments left on the post itself. I know some of you very well, others hardly at all, but all of you reached out to offer support and understanding. Your words touched my heart and made me cry. And I needed to cry. I needed to let it all out.
I also need to thank my husband, Rob, and my mom, Joan. I would not be able to sustain the pace of this never ending marathon without your love and support, advice and prayers.
My sons will be ok. This too shall pass. And when I come out on the other side of this thing I’ll be stronger for it – in huge part thanks to all of you.
I’ll be in touch. (As if I could really stop writing!)
xo
Widows stick together, in shitty times, and shittier times. I said what I said. 🥰
We love you too, Susan! We may not be with you physically, but we are always "with" you. xoxoxo
