Widowhood and Resilience, Saturday, February 11
This Saturday, February 11, I’ll be at the Death Doula Day at Congressional Cemetery in Washington D.C.
Death Doula Days, hosted by author Laura Lyster-Mensh (who happens to be one of my dearest friends), are part of the Cemetery’s Death Positive Programming, explained on its website as:
“…at Congressional Cemetery, we believe in talking openly and honestly about death without the stigma those conversations usually carry. Death positivity describes the idea that talking openly about death is healthy and important to appreciating life.”
I agree.
That’s why, from 11 am to Noon, I’ll be there speaking about widowhood and resilience. (Big surprise!) The event is free and open to the public, though an RSVP is appreciated.
If you’re in D.C. this weekend, I hope you’ll join me. (I understand Laura’s husband Mark bakes the awesome cakes they serve, though I’m unsure who’s in charge of the coffee!)
